Forrest's Maple (Acer forrestii) is a member of the Sapindaceae family. Native to the mountainous regions of South-West China, this species is highly valued for its striking snake-bark trunk pattern and graceful foliage.
The tree thrives in cool, temperate climates and requires well-drained, fertile soil. It prefers a slightly acidic or neutral pH level and performs best when moisture levels are consistent throughout the growing season.
Ideally, this maple should be planted in partial shade, especially in warmer regions, to protect the leaves from scorching. Protection from harsh, drying winds is essential to maintain the integrity of its delicate leaves.
