DescriptionNadezhda
Oatgrass "Nadezhda" is a high-yield oat variety intended for cultivation in moderate climatic conditions. It features a short growth period (90–100 days) and high yield up to 6–7 t/ha under optimal conditions. The variety is resistant to major oat diseases and adverse climatic factors – frost and drought.
Grain quality is characterized by high protein content (up to 30%) and low starch content, which enhances the product's nutritional value. The plant has an upright growth habit, medium density, and productive bushiness with over 70 shoots per bush. Seeds are oval-egg-shaped, light gray, up to 6 mm in length, with 1000-seed weight of 2 g.
The variety is widely used as a fodder crop and raw material for flour and cereal production. It is easily processed during mechanical harvest due to medium seed density. Seeds are sold at 10–12% moisture and stored at temperatures from +5 to +15 °C, ensuring preservation of sowing qualities.
"Nadezhda" demonstrates good adaptation to natural conditions of the Ural region: 98–100% of plants are retained after mowing in the spring period. The variety possesses high plasticity and resistance to pests, as well as low levels of infection by snow mold (4.5%) and helminthosporiosis (23.2%).
