Kazachinskaya 182 is a species of meadow oat (Festuca pratensis Huds.), an annual grain grass of the oat family, widely used as a fodder crop in the form of hay and silage, as well as for pasture sowing. The variety is distinguished by high yield: in the first year, growth develops rapidly; in the second and third years, it reaches a height of 60-90 cm, while hay formation gives 1.5-2.0 t/ha, silage - 3.0-4.0 t/ha. Fodder mass is 30-40 kg/ha under normal conditions, and protein content ranges from 12-15%, fats from 3-4%, and carbohydrates from 5-6%. These indicators make the plant a valuable source of energy and nutrients for livestock.
Kazachinskaya 182 shows good cold resistance, which is confirmed by its use in the East Siberian regions (Irkutsk region, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Buryatia Republic, Sakha Republic). The plant also demonstrates medium tolerance to diseases: fungal infections (powdery mildew, powdery mildew), viral diseases, and bacterial pathogens are possible. With proper care - loosening the soil, adding compost or manure, timely watering and nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization - the risk of disease is reduced.
For growing Kazachinskaya 182, moderately moist soils are preferable: fresh, peat, sandy, however the plant grows successfully on less fertile soils. Distance between rows 10-12 cm, between plants - 15-20 cm ensures optimal development of the root system and air flow. Hay harvest is carried out 30-35 days after the start of flowering, and silage - 45-50 days. Thanks to its drought resistance and ability to quickly restore growth after watering, the variety is suitable for multi-year use as a pasture sowing up to three years.
Thus, Kazachinskaya 182 is a productive, nutritious and climatically adapted fodder crop suitable for both hay formation and silage, as well as for pasture sowing in various regions.
