Fescue BARCRIPTO

Consistency in Forage Production

When choosing forage grasses, the reliability of the genetics is paramount. Barenbrug Holland’s Barkrypto is a meadow fescue that brings professional-grade stability to your fields. Standing between 60 and 100 cm, it provides a substantial biomass yield that simplifies harvest logistics.

Field Performance and Plant Health

In practice, the main advantage of Barkrypto is its robust defense system. Experience shows that this variety is remarkably resistant to fusarium, a common issue that often plagues forage stands. By reducing the susceptibility to fungal pathogens, you effectively lower your chemical intervention costs. Furthermore, its natural resistance to aphids helps maintain the integrity of the foliage, ensuring that the nutrient density remains high until the day of the cut.

Operational Benefits

• Optimized Growth: Rapid recovery after mowing allows for multiple harvests per season, maximizing your land use efficiency.
• Palatability: High leaf-to-stem ratio ensures that livestock consumes the forage readily, leading to better overall performance.
• Hardiness: Developed by Barenbrug Holland, the variety is engineered to withstand various field stressors, making it an easy-to-manage component of any crop rotation.

Choosing Barkrypto means betting on proven Dutch genetics that prioritize both yield and plant health. It is a straightforward, low-maintenance solution for farmers who need quality forage without constant field monitoring.
