Fescue DUMAS 1

Tall fescue DUMAS 1 by the Danish breeding leader DLF is a professional benchmark in the creation of high-resilience turfgrass. Unlike conventional lawn grasses, this variety, developed by the originator Dlf Seeds A/S, elevates ornamental landscaping to a new level by blending visual aesthetics with the robust endurance typical of forage-grade genetics.

Why DUMAS 1 leads the market

The hallmark of this variety is its exceptional adaptability to challenging environments. As a product of Danish breeding, it is engineered for climatic fluctuations, with a critical advantage being its high resistance to powdery mildew. This allows agronomists and landscape professionals to reduce reliance on fungicide applications, ensuring a more sustainable and eco-friendly lawn maintenance routine.

Core specifications and usage

• Ornamental Appeal: A deep green foliage color that remains vibrant throughout the growing season.
• Plant Height: A compact growth habit (20-40 cm) helps reduce mowing frequency while maintaining high turf density.
• Applications: Ideal for professional park landscaping, high-traffic utility areas, and ornamental lawns that demand exceptional durability.

Choosing DLF means choosing consistency. As the patent holder, DLF Trifolium A/S has invested decades into maintaining genetic purity, ensuring that DUMAS 1 delivers predictable growth and excellent germination rates. This variety is the perfect solution for those seeking the ideal balance between an elegant aesthetic and a lawn capable of tolerating minor maintenance oversights, such as short-term drought or shade.
