The 'DUMAS 1' perennial grass is specifically selected for use as a lawn on sports fields and decorative gardens. The plant's appearance is characterized by a bright green color, fine-leaf structure, and dense crowns reaching a height of 30–45 cm. Thanks to the high density of leaf material (70–80%), the cover seeds quickly and can reach an area of up to 90 m² per kilogram of seeds.
The thermodynamic properties of 'DUMAS 1' allow it to withstand a wide range of temperatures from +5 °C to +30 °C, as well as frost down to –10 °C without damage. This makes the lawn resistant to drought and heat, which is especially important for urban areas with limited access to water. Regular weeding every 2–3 weeks and nitrogen fertilization are recommended to maintain the density and health of the cover.
The advantages of this variety include increased resistance to diseases such as ferns and powdery mildew, as well as the longevity of the cover due to the high density of leaf material. 'DUMAS 1' is ideal not only for sports fields and children's play areas, but also for decorative gardens, paths, and sidewalks, providing an aesthetic look and functionality throughout the year.
