Fescue Assol

Reliable performance in challenging conditions

The 'Assol' tall fescue is a cultivar developed by the Urals Federal Agrarian Research Center, specifically designed for reliability in diverse environments. Whether the goal is establishing a long-lasting, visually appealing lawn or securing a robust forage base, this variety provides consistent results through its hardiness and predictable growth patterns.

Practical Applications

• Landscaping and Turf: With its deep green leaves and a height ranging from 60 to 100 cm, 'Assol' creates a dense, aesthetically pleasing turf. It is highly valued for municipal landscaping, parks, and recreational areas due to its resilience and visual appeal.
• Forage Production: As a perennial grass, 'Assol' is an excellent component for pastures and hayfields. Its ability to regenerate effectively after grazing or mowing makes it a cornerstone for livestock management programs.

Agrotechnical Advantages

One of the primary benefits for farm managers and landscape specialists is the cultivar's natural resistance to severe pathogens. 'Assol' demonstrates strong resistance to helminthosporiosis and snow mold—common diseases that often lead to crop thinning and reduced biomass. By choosing this variety, producers can significantly reduce the need for intensive fungicide applications, lowering overall operational costs while ensuring the stability of the stand after winter dormancy. The combination of structural integrity and disease resistance makes 'Assol' an efficient, low-maintenance choice for professional agricultural and recreational projects.
