Smooth brome Meandre

A Reliable Foundation for High-Performance Turf

The Meandre variety from the German breeding house Euro Grass Breeding KG is a professional-grade choice for demanding turf applications. Unlike generic grass mixtures, this perennial variety offers exceptional turf density and resilience against the climatic stressors common in temperate zones.

Practical Application in Landscape Management

The primary role of Meandre is to establish durable grass cover in areas prone to wear and tear. Key scenarios for its use include:

• Sports and Recreational Facilities: Due to its rapid recovery capacity, this variety is ideal for high-traffic surfaces.
• Erosion Control: A robust root system makes it an excellent choice for stabilizing slopes and areas vulnerable to wind erosion.
• Professional Lawns: With proper maintenance, Meandre develops a uniform, deep-colored, and aesthetically pleasing turf carpet.

Biological Resistance as an Economic Advantage

A major strength of this variety is its natural resistance to common pathogens. Meandre exhibits significant resistance to powdery mildew and red thread. In practical terms, this leads to a substantial reduction in the need for fungicide treatments. By selecting this seed, land managers ensure a high-quality lawn while minimizing costs associated with intensive chemical control—a critical factor for environmentally conscious projects.

The German engineering behind Euro Grass Breeding KG ensures high germination energy and consistent sprouting rates. This predictability simplifies the planning of sowing operations and minimizes the risks of crop failure during the critical establishment phase of the lawn.
