Jasperina Red Fescue is a rare variety of red fescue included in high-quality lawn mixes for home areas and children's playgrounds. The seeds are grown in Europe under strict quality control and certification, which guarantees their purity and stable characteristics.
In popular mixtures, Jasperina accounts for 20–25% of the total seed mass. In combination with other fescue types (Dipper, Troubadix), meadow ryegrass Turfsun and Turfgold, as well as meadow fescue Zeptor, it provides a dense, emerald-green carpet that quickly reveals its decorative qualities already in the second year after planting. Thanks to its slow growth dynamics, the lawn requires infrequent mowing – up to 3 cm – and does not need frequent maintenance.
Jasperina Red Fescue is characterized by high frost resistance, resistance to temperature fluctuations and drought, as well as good disease tolerance. It grows excellently on most soils, with the exception of heavy clay soils, where dilution with sand is necessary. Such a lawn is ideal for walks, sitting, meditation, and playing with children, but is not recommended for active sports such as football or cycling.
The sowing rate is 3–5 kg per centner, which ensures optimal coverage density. Thanks to the combination of load-resistant varieties and the low-growing structure of Jasperina, it creates a comfortable surface for relaxation and children's games, while remaining economical in care.
