Marinetsa is a high-yielding variety of smooth meadow fescue, created by the method of individual group selection of plastic forms with high yield and resistance to unfavorable conditions. Plants reach a height of 95–105 cm, have an upright bush, dense stems, and dark green leaves with stiff edges. The variety matures quickly: the first harvest appears as early as 54–55 days after sowing, and the moisture content in the seeds is 14%, ensuring a yield of 0.22 to 0.25 tons/hectare.
Marinetsa is distinguished by excellent winter hardiness and drought resistance (8–9 points), as well as resistance to lodging and smut. Plants are slightly susceptible to diseases, making them a reliable component for forming natural pastures and fodder mixes with esparcet and alfalfa. The variety is recommended for growing in the Forest-steppe and Polissia zones, where it shows the best agronomic indicators.
Marinetsa fodder grass has high protein and essential oil content, ensuring nutritional value for livestock throughout the season. It is suitable for 3 cuts, contains necessary vitamins and minerals, and is safe due to the natural origin of the components. The product packaging is usually 20 kg, which makes it convenient for use by cows, pigs, and other animals in agriculture.
