Since it is a dedicated forage variety, this height ensures an optimal stand density, keeping equipment maintenance needs low during harvest.

Maintenance and Feed Value

Designed primarily for fresh consumption, 'Leda' is prized for its high palatability and digestibility. Maintaining a field of 'Leda' involves standard agrotechnical procedures: managing moisture levels and routine nutrient application. The variety shows excellent adaptability to local soils, which significantly reduces the need for reseeding. The seed rate allows for precise cost planning, while the predictable growth rate of the forage makes it easy to schedule rotational grazing or harvesting intervals with precision.
