The new Siberian breeder variety Mustang is an indeterminate plant reaching a height of 1.5–1.8 m, suitable for cultivation both in greenhouses and open ground. The fruits of this variety are long, cigar-shaped, reaching a length of 20–25 cm and weighing from 200 to 250 g (early yields can reach up to 400 g). They have a red-raspberry color, fleshy texture, and are especially good in fresh salads due to their rich taste.
The yield of the variety is high – up to 5 kg from one plant. To obtain abundant fruits, it is recommended to plant three plants per square meter in open ground, as well as carry out regular fertilization and watering throughout the growing period. When growing in a greenhouse, a single stem can be used, which allows for more effective space management.
Mustang seeds germinate at a constant temperature of 23–25 °C, and seedlings are usually sown 55–60 days before transplanting to a permanent location. To improve fruit set during flowering, it is recommended to gently shake the plant or treat it with a stimulant every five days. The variety is suitable both for canning and processing, and for sale as fresh market produce due to its high quality and attractive appearance.
