Smooth brome Livizion

Why «Livision» is the Choice for Professional Forage Production

The brome grass variety «Livision», developed by the German breeding center Euro Grass Breeding KG, serves as a benchmark for creating long-term pastures and meadows. In an era where intensive livestock farming demands a stable forage base, this variety stands out for its rapid regrowth after mowing and high adaptability to diverse soil and climatic conditions.

Agronomic Advantages

• Growth Energy: «Livision» demonstrates excellent development rates in the early stages, ensuring a dense canopy that suppresses weeds in the field.
• Consistent Yields: Bred with European climatic standards in mind, this variety guarantees a high output of green mass and high-quality hay over several years of utilization.
• Forage Value: High leaf-to-stem ratio and excellent palatability make it an essential component for livestock diets.

Who Should Choose This Variety

«Livision» is optimal for farms aiming at long-term land exploitation without the need for annual reseeding. If your goal is to achieve consistent results with moderate maintenance costs, this German variety is a reliable tool. It is more forgiving of agronomic management mistakes than many highly specialized hybrids while remaining productive for 5–7 years, depending on the intensity of use.

Operating Insights

As with any brome grass, «Livision» reaches its full potential on loose, well-aerated soils. During the first year, it is crucial to focus on weed control while the root system establishes. Once established, the variety’s perennial nature provides resilience against temporary droughts, making it a preferred choice for regions with erratic rainfall patterns.
