Smooth brome Livinus

German Quality for Your Lawn

The Livinus smooth brome (Bromus inermis) variety is a breeding product from the German company Euro Grass Breeding KG, renowned for its rigorous standards in perennial grass development. This variety addresses the needs of the professional landscaping and sports turf industry, where durability and visual appeal are paramount.

Agronomic Profile and Resilience

The primary advantage of Livinus is its genetically inherent resistance to powdery mildew. In dense planting conditions typical of lawns, this disease is often a critical factor that diminishes the visual quality of the turf. Thanks to the expertise of Euro Grass Breeding KG, this variety exhibits high resistance to infection, significantly reducing the need for fungicide applications and simplifying site maintenance.

Fields of Application

As a perennial species, Livinus is ideal for creating stable, long-lasting lawns. Its root system forms a dense turf mat capable of effectively holding soil and preventing erosion. This makes it an excellent choice for:

• Urban landscaping, where low maintenance and drought tolerance are valued;
• Recreational areas subject to moderate foot traffic;
• Slope and embankment stabilization due to its strong regenerative capabilities.

The reputation of Euro Grass Breeding KG ensures that the seed material has undergone stringent selection processes, providing high purity and germination rates, which are crucial for establishing large-area lawns. Livinus represents an investment in a durable, healthy, and aesthetic green cover that requires minimal intervention when basic agronomic practices are followed.
