Fescue JOANNA

A robust solution for intensive use

Red fescue variety 'Joanna' from the German plant breeding company Deutsche Saatveredelung is the choice of agronomists and landscape professionals focused on long-lasting turf. In modern agriculture and landscaping, the key factor is crop survival under stress, whether it is intensive livestock grazing or heavy foot traffic in public areas.

Agronomic Advantages

• High traffic tolerance: Thanks to its dense sod and well-developed root system, 'Joanna' effectively resists mechanical damage and recovers quickly after intense use.
• Resistance to pathogens: Genetic resistance to powdery mildew reduces the need for prophylactic fungicide applications, saving on input costs.
• Versatility: The variety performs consistently well both in lawn mixtures for park zones and as a forage crop, providing reliable yields of high-quality green mass.

German breeding by Deutsche Saatveredelung ensures high seed purity and predictable germination rates. Incorporating this variety into seed mixtures allows for the creation of stable plant communities that remain resilient even under heavy exploitation. For farms involved in pasture management, 'Joanna' serves as a reliable foundation, capable of forming a dense stand that is highly palatable for livestock and retains its nutritional value throughout the season.
