Fescue SREDNEURALSKAYA 4

Ural breeding for landscape aesthetics

The 'Sredneuralskaya 4' red fescue is the result of years of research by the Ural Federal Agrarian Scientific Research Center (Ural Branch of the RAS). This variety was developed to meet the demands of decorative landscaping in regions with challenging climates, where high resilience is required for ground cover. Unlike imported mixtures, this crop is adapted to harsh conditions, making it a predictable and reliable tool for landscape designers.

Key characteristics and adaptability

This variety belongs to the low-growing fescue types, with plant heights ranging from 40 to 60 cm. The visual focus is on the deep, dark green color of the leaves, which maintains its decorative appeal throughout a long growing season. This makes 'Sredneuralskaya 4' an excellent choice for creating dense lawns for both private estates and urban public spaces.

Turf health and resilience

One of the core strengths of this variety is its genetically inherent immunity. In high humidity and fluctuating temperature conditions, lawns are often susceptible to fungal diseases that can quickly spoil the appearance of a site. This variety demonstrates high resistance to three major threats:

• Root rot: A crucial factor for long-term lawn longevity.
• Mold: Ensures turf preservation after the snow melts.
• Powdery mildew: Protects leaf aesthetics in dense plantings.

By choosing 'Sredneuralskaya 4', agronomists and landscaping professionals gain access to a proven material that combines functionality and durability, backed by the academic standards of the Ural Federal Agrarian Scientific Research Center.
