Description CATRINE
Festuca rubra trichophylla variety «CATRINE» features rich red seed cell flowers and is successfully cultivated in temperate climates. Seeds germinate in 7‑10 days at 15–20 °C; the optimal sowing period is late March–early April for northern regions and early May–June for southern ones. To achieve maximum yield, fertile, well-drained soil with pH 6.0‑7.5 is required.

The variety is characterized by high resistance to mite infestation, fungal soil infections, and viral diseases, as well as good adaptation to various climatic conditions. With proper fertilization, «CATRINE» delivers high yields (up to 3.5‑4.0 t/ha under optimal conditions) and contains significant amounts of protein and carbohydrates.

«CATRINE» is widely used both in the agricultural sector – for grain, flour, and feed production – and in landscape design. Seeds are suitable for creating dense lawns and decorative coverings: they germinate quickly, forming a thick cover with good resistance to mechanical wear and pests. The recommended sowing rate is 3 kg of seeds per 100 m². The variety is certified according to GOST 52325‑2005 and holds a Rosselkhoznadzor certificate, confirming its quality and safety for use in gardens, parks, sports fields, and urban plots.
