Fescue DIPPER

An Engineering Approach to Creating Dense Turf

The 'Dipper' red fescue from the German breeding giant Deutsche Saatveredelung is a product focused on creating durable surfaces for intensive use. The core of this variety lies in the development of root architecture and leaf biochemistry, which are critical for high-quality lawn covers.

Key Characteristics and Practical Application

• High Wear Resistance: 'Dipper' demonstrates excellent regeneration under mechanical stress. Due to selection for tiller density, growth points are protected from direct impact during foot traffic. This makes the variety an optimal solution for private lawns and commercial areas with moderate transit.
• Leaf Morphology: The rich green color is achieved through a high chlorophyll content, allowing the plant to maintain its aesthetic appeal even in low direct sunlight. The fine leaf texture creates a uniform, 'carpet-like' effect that is highly valued in landscape design.
• Genetic Stability: Sourced from the German laboratories of Deutsche Saatveredelung, this variety guarantees compliance with strict EU phytosanitary standards. The crop is adapted to a wide range of soil conditions, demonstrating high plasticity when facing temperature fluctuations.

Choosing this variety is a sound long-term investment: the slower vertical growth rate reduces mowing frequency while maintaining sward density. Technically, this is achieved through an optimal balance between vegetative mass and the development of underground shoots—rhizomes—which fill gaps in the sod, effectively preventing weed infestation.
