GONDO is red fescue (Festuca rubra L.), suitable for both lawn and fodder mixes. The variety is characterized by a moderately-late maturity period, a height of 120–130 cm, and high lodging resistance. In trials, it demonstrated a green mass yield of about 220 t/ha and dry matter of 66 t/ha.
Key features of GONDO include good winter hardiness, frost resistance, and the ability to quickly enter the vegetative period. Due to strong tillers, the plant has excellent self-repairing properties and increased drought tolerance, making it suitable for pastures on small soils and areas with care difficulties. Growth is slow in the first year, but by the second year it is fully ready for use, providing a large green mass yield.
The variety is suitable for cultivation in moderate climatic conditions, including chernozem, clay, and sandy soils. It is valuable in areas with poor soils as it helps prevent erosion thanks to a well-developed root system. Each package contains 5 kg of qualified seeds, and sowing instructions and dates are indicated on the package.
