Fescue BARGREEN

Why «Bargreen» became the gold standard for premium lawns

When you are planning a lawn that needs to look flawless while handling real-world wear and tear, the choice of grass variety determines your success. It is a Chewings fescue that acts like a workhorse in the turf, maintaining its aesthetic appeal regardless of the intensity of use.

Operational experience and resilience

The main issue with many fine-leaf grasses is their susceptibility to disease. With «Bargreen», that concern is largely resolved: the variety shows remarkable resistance to powdery mildew and red thread. For the owner, this means saving money on fungicides and significantly less stress during humid or wet spring months. The leaves retain a deep green hue and do not wither easily from common lawn pathogens.

• Durability: The turf is dense and highly resistant to trampling. If your lawn is used by pets or children, «Bargreen» repairs and recovers faster than most alternatives.
• Maintenance: It is a slow-growing variety, which is a major advantage: it significantly reduces the frequency of mowing, saving you both time and equipment maintenance costs.
• Adaptation: The Dutch breeding expertise of Barenbrug ensures predictable performance. The seeds sprout uniformly, creating a thick sod that effectively crowds out weeds from the start.

In terms of maintenance, «Bargreen» is low-fuss, keeps its structure beautifully, and its ability to rapidly knit together gaps makes it a top-tier choice for professional landscaping.
