Description Geisha
Poa pratensis 'Geisha' is a cultivar of meadow turf Poa pratensis, specifically developed for covering sports fields, pitches, and active recreation zones. It is distinguished by high wear resistance, dense turf, and early spring germination, allowing for quick recovery of the surface after intensive use. The color during the summer period is medium-green, and with proper care, it maintains saturation throughout the season.

The variety is characterized by fast rooting and resistance to red thread, low-to-moderate salinity loads, as well as good frost resistance. In experiments in Germany, it received 5 points on a wear resistance scale (scale from 1 to 9) and 4 points on a landscape quality scale. The sowing rate is 2–3 kg of seeds per 100 m², which ensures a dense cover and a strong root system.

For successful cultivation, soil preparation is required: remove weeds, loosen the soil, add sand for heavy soils, and add lime for high acidity. Regular fertilization with nitrogen-phosphorus preparations increases yield and disease resistance. If pests are present, insecticides are applied, and for protection against fungal infections, fungicides are used. Thanks to its durability, Poa pratensis 'Geisha' can grow in one place for 15–20 years, providing a stable cover without frequent replanting.

The final product is suitable for both sports fields and pitches, as well as for pastures and fodder lands. Its high wear resistance, resistance to climatic loads, and ease of care make it one of the best options for creating a durable lawn.
