PRYANGARSKAYA – winter oat grass, developed in 1966 by FGBUN "Siberian Federal Research Center for Agrobiotechnologies RAS" and included in the 1975 registry by the Institute of Agriculture FGBNU Irkutsk. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching up to 8–9 t/ha under favorable conditions, as well as good germination rates – up to 90% under optimal conditions.
Key features include large and dense grains with high protein content (12–13%) and low fat levels. This makes PRYANGARSKAYA suitable for both flour production and feed purposes. The grains are easy to split, facilitating mechanical processing and subsequent processing.
The variety possesses medium cold resistance, moderate drought tolerance, and good adaptability to mechanical processing. It also demonstrates resistance to diseases (powdery mildew, downy mildew, fungal rot) and pests (mites, aphids). Moderate NPK 10-20-10 fertilizers are recommended, and soil moisture should be maintained at 60% of maximum moisture for optimal growth.
PRYANGARSKAYA is widely used in agriculture in the West Siberian region and is also suitable for cultivation in the East Siberian region due to its adaptability to various climatic conditions.
