ONEZHSKAYA

Festuca 'Onezhskaya' – a perennial grass species belonging to the Festuca family, widely used in landscape design to create dense lawns and decorative coverings. The plant height is about 20–30 cm, and sowing is carried out from March to September. Seeds have high moisture (94%) and purity (91%), ensuring good germination – usually within a week after sowing.

The advantages of Festuca 'Onezhskaya' include resistance to diseases and pests, as well as the ability to grow on poor rocky soils and sand. The plant does not require regular fertilization, however, adding fertilizer increases the lawn density. Thanks to its dense leaf structure, Festuca withstands trampling and low mowing, maintaining its decorative appearance for 10–15 years with proper care (moistening, watering).

Lawn care is simple: remove withered leaves in spring and trim after flowering. Festuca withstands severe winter conditions as well as hot, dry areas due to good cold tolerance and drought resistance. This makes it an ideal choice for gardens, flower beds, borders, alpine hills, and rocky areas where a durable and decorative covering is needed without frequent watering.
