Description BLUE CORONA
Blue Corona is a hybrid oat variety specifically developed for cultivation in moderately continental and northern regions. The grain is large, light-colored, accounting for 80–90% of the total mass, with a protein content reaching 12–13%. Thanks to high sowing shrinkage and resistance to powdery mildew, rot, and fungal kidney infections, this variety ensures a stable yield of up to 8.5 t/ha under optimal conditions. Thermotolerance allows cultivation even at low temperatures down to –10 °C, making Blue Corona an ideal choice for northern climate zones.

The variety has excellent storage properties: the grain maintains quality for 6–8 months at temperatures of 0–4 °C and humidity below 12%. With proper moisture control, significant problems with mold fungi do not arise. Oat nutritional properties include a high level of B vitamins, minerals (iron, zinc), and antioxidants, making it valuable both for the food industry and as feed grain.

Blue Corona is recommended for commercial production of large oats and combined cultivation systems. It prefers soils with good permeability and moderate acidity (pH 5.5–6.5). Under wet conditions and low temperatures, kidney rot infections are possible, though they typically appear only under unfavorable climatic conditions. In general, the variety ensures high yield, disease resistance, and excellent storage characteristics, making it a sought-after choice among farmers and agro-industrial enterprises.
