Sheep fescue variety "Bornito" is a perennial grass that is rapidly gaining popularity as a lawn covering due to its low requirements for soil and water. The plant prefers sunny areas, sandy or poor soil, yet tolerates a wide range of pH. Thanks to its loose tufts and slow growth (up to 30 cm per year), lawn care is minimal: frequent watering and intensive mowing are not required.

The leaves of sheep fescue are narrow, tender, and covered with a waxy coating, which maintains a bright green color even with limited access to moisture. A deep root system ensures drought and cold resistance, while a dense mat allows it to withstand long periods of dryness without losing its decorative quality. The variety is suitable for both southern and northern regions, and can be used for sports fields and urban greening.

For planting, it is recommended to sow seeds in the spring, adhering to a rate of 3 kg per 100 m² (packs are available in 20 kg). Soil moisture should be maintained at 50-60% of its saturation point. If necessary, it can be fertilized with nitrogen fertilizers NPK 46:0:0, however, with proper care, the plant maintains good color without frequent fertilization. Sheep fescue "Bornito" also demonstrates resistance to mold fungi and downy mildew, but in the event of diseases, appropriate fungicides should be applied.
