The «BEUDIN» oatgrass variety is a high-performing red oatgrass designed for both commercial sowing in temperate climates and decorative greening of parks, gardens, and lawns. The large grain size (≈5.2 mm) ensures easy mechanical processing, while the high protein content (12–13 %) makes it a valuable raw material for flour and bread production.
«BEUDIN» is distinguished by its resistance to a wide range of agro-potentials: it tolerates drought, cold, fungal and Arctic pathogens, as well as pests (birds, insects). High turf density and a strong root system allow the variety to be used in mixed sowing systems with other large-scale crops. The recommended sowing density is 120–140 pieces/m² at a sowing depth of 2–3 cm, with a sowing period of October–November at a temperature of 5–10 °C.
In decorative applications, «BEUDIN» displays a rich green color with a slight yellowish tint, maintained throughout the summer season. The variety is resistant to low mowing and frequent trimming (up to 2–3 times a month), and withstands moderate salt concentrations, making it suitable for coastal and saline areas. High turf density prevents weed germination, ensuring an aesthetically appealing lawn with minimal maintenance needs.
