The "Binara" oatgrass variety is a three-cultivar turf grass material intended for sowing as a lawn and bog cover. The seeds are characterized by medium leaf width, green color upon first sowing, and a tendency to form inflorescences in the second year of sowing. Plants reach a height of 30–50 cm, have wide leaves of medium length, and semi-erect inflorescences.
"Binara" is suitable for planting in spring months (April–June) at soil temperatures from 10 °C to 20 °C and humidity of 60–70 %. The variety is resistant to diseases, however, it may be susceptible to fungal infections, such as powdery mildew, and bacterial infections if humidity and drainage conditions are not met.
This variety is widely used as a lawn for sports fields, parks, kindergartens, as well as for bog restoration and decorative covering. Thanks to its disease resistance and good adaptability to various climatic conditions, "Binara" provides a reliable and aesthetically pleasing cover for several years after sowing.
