NIKO

Niko - a rare ornamental fertile grass, grown in Germany and available in various pack sizes (15 kg, 5 kg, 3.5 kg, 1 kg). The variety features medium-green leaf color, a fine structure, and high turf density. Due to its slow growth and drought tolerance, Niko quickly forms a dense, aesthetically appealing lawn that competes with weeds and requires minimal fertilization.

For planting, it is recommended to start in spring after the soil has warmed (temperature above 10 °C). Seeds can be sown directly or seedlings placed in small holes filled with soil. Growth will be slow in the first year, but by the third or fourth year, the plant will form a dense green carpet. Care is simple: regular watering and moderate fertilization with organic fertilizers (compost) or mineral products. Excess water can lead to mold, so maintaining a good drainage system is important.

Niko grass is suitable as a decorative lawn, ground cover in gardens and rocky areas, as well as for edging, borders, and containers. It tolerates moderate frost well, but may require covering under heavy snow loads. Due to its low need for fertilizers and irrigation, the variety is economical and resistant to diseases, including fusarium, and resists red thread.
