Fescue COSMONAUT

Austrian Precision in Grass Breeding

The «Kosmonaut» fescue, developed by the renowned Austrian house Saatbau, represents a high-standard approach to grass cultivation, successfully bridging the gap between decorative landscaping and functional agricultural use. This variety is celebrated for its genetic stability and adaptability, reflecting the long-standing expertise of its originators.

Visual and Agronomic Excellence

The primary draw of this variety is its striking deep green foliage, which maintains its rich, vivid color throughout the growing season. This makes it a preferred choice for high-end landscape projects where visual impact is paramount. Standing at a modest height of 20-40 cm, the plants offer a manageable growth habit, significantly reducing the maintenance burden for groundkeepers.

Versatility in Application

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, «Kosmonaut» retains the robust characteristics required for forage production. Saatbau has engineered the strain to excel in challenging conditions, ensuring:

• Durability: A dense turf structure that withstands moderate foot traffic and environmental stress.
• Regeneration: Strong post-mowing or post-grazing recovery rates.
• Nutritional Value: Consistent quality that livestock producers rely on for high-performance grazing.

Investing in Saatbau’s «Kosmonaut» means choosing a product that provides longevity and reliability. Whether utilized as a resilient lawn grass or as a nutritional component in a pasture, this Austrian-bred fescue provides the consistency and performance that professionals expect from the Saatbau brand.
