Lieberold oatgrass is a hybrid oat variety intended for grain and feed production. The variety is characterized by high yields of up to 12–14 t/ha under optimal conditions and good disease resistance: protection against ear rot, fungal infections (powdery mildew, dusty mildew) and viral diseases.
Lieberold plants have an average stem height of 80–90 cm, large leaves and a dense root tuber, which ensures good adaptation to various soil conditions. The variety prefers moderately hot climatic zones but shows resilience at low temperatures up to 0 °C during the sowing period. The recommended sowing density is 120–140 kg/ha, and the sowing time is end of March–beginning of April.
Lieberold is characterized by a high protein content (12–14 %) and good drought tolerance. With proper care, yields reach 12.5 t/ha under normal conditions. This makes the variety attractive for both grain production and feed purposes, ensuring a stable output even in unfavorable climatic situations.
