Fescue KRAASNOPOIMSKAYA 92

Reliable Meadow Fescue for Fodder Production

The meadow fescue variety "Krasnopoymskaya 92" is a proven solution for farms focused on creating highly productive hayfields and pastures. Developed by Gup Pno Pojma in collaboration with the V.R. Williams All-Russian Fodder Research Institute (FNTs VIK), this variety guarantees consistency in its biological traits.

Agronomic Features and Field Use

This variety is highly valued for its adaptability and resistance to powdery mildew, which is essential for intensive grassland management. The primary focus is on producing high-quality green mass and hay. It is recommended for:

• Establishing long-term managed pastures that maintain productivity over several years.
• Developing a robust forage base in temperate climates where disease resistance is a priority.
• Incorporating into grass mixtures to enhance the nutritional value of livestock rations.

For optimal results, the recommended seeding rate is 3–4 g/m². Adhering to this density ensures a thick, well-ventilated crop, which significantly minimizes the risk of fungal diseases.

Practical Efficiency

Working with "Krasnopoymskaya 92" allows agronomists to forecast yields based on the variety's stable characteristics. Due to the selection efforts of Gup Pno Pojma and the V.R. Williams FNTs VIK, this variety displays consistent growth and rapid regrowth after mowing. This makes it a strategic choice for crop rotations where a reliable component for soil fertility restoration and feed production is required.
