Fescue ENIKEIEV'S MEMORY

Breeding Excellence for Fodder Production

The meadow fescue variety 'Pamyati Enikeeva' is the result of long-term efforts by researchers at the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Developed to meet the demand for stable and pathogen-resistant grass mixtures, this variety maintains high productivity under moderate climate conditions. Named in honor of a distinguished plant breeder, the variety reflects a legacy of scientific rigor focused on crop adaptability.

Agronomic Profile and Disease Resistance

This variety is characterized by its compact growth habit, with plants reaching heights of 40–60 cm. These parameters are ideal for establishing long-term pastures and meadows with high sward density. A key competitive advantage of 'Pamyati Enikeeva' is its genetic resistance to major cereal diseases. In field trials, the variety demonstrates significant immunity to:

• Helminthosporiosis, which frequently affects crops in high-humidity regions;
• Powdery mildew, thereby minimizing biomass losses during the growing season.

These features make 'Pamyati Enikeeva' a reliable asset for developing fodder lands that require minimal chemical intervention. The variety was originated by specialists at the Ufa Federal Research Center, including Gainikamal Kiyamovna Zaripova. Intellectual property rights are held by the Bashkir Research Institute of Agriculture (UFRC RAS), ensuring the authenticity of the seed material.

Practical Applications

Due to its hardiness, this variety is highly sought after by livestock farms and for specialized landscaping projects. 'Pamyati Enikeeva' is widely used in grass mixtures for high-quality silage and livestock grazing. Its intensive tillering capacity and rapid recovery rate after mowing allow agricultural producers to maintain consistent green mass yields over several years of utilization.
