Analog

Analog — a winter wheat variety registered in the State Register of Varieties of Ukraine since 2008. This variety was created by individual selection based on a hybrid combination of Donskaya half-dwarf and Lada Odessa. It belongs to the erythrospermum type and is characterized by weak anthocyanin coloring of the coleoptile and ears. The plant is semi-erect, with a medium-thick and strong stem. The ear is spindle-shaped, medium length, straw-yellow in color, with red kernels and the presence of lower floral bract awns. The awns at the ear tip are of medium size. The average grain yield of the Analog variety is about 6.5 tons per hectare. The grain is large, with a natural density of 760–780 g/l, which is considered a valuable quality indicator. The overall bread-making quality of the Analog variety reaches 4.4 points, indicating high-quality grain suitable for food industry. The variety is early maturing, with a vegetation period of approximately 288 days, allowing effective use in various climatic zones of Ukraine. Analog is resistant to complex diseases, enhancing crop reliability and reducing costs for plant protection. Recommended sowing dates for the Analog variety depend on the region: in the Polissia region — from September 10 to 20, in the forest-steppe — from September 15 to 22. The seeding rate is 5.0–5.5 million germinating seeds per hectare. Due to its agronomic characteristics and grain quality, the Analog variety is widely used in agriculture to obtain high-quality raw materials for the bread and food industries.
