Angelus

Wheat variety Angelus is a high-yielding and winter-hardy variety with excellent flour quality and stable agronomic characteristics. This variety is characterized by its resilience and good plant health, which, together with its prolonged grain-filling phase, ensures high yields. Angelus features a balanced combination of yield and grain quality, making it highly sought after for bread production due to its excellent baking properties.

Protein content in the grain ranges from 13.0% to 14.0%, and raw gluten content varies between 26.2%–28.6%. The thousand-grain weight ranges from 38.3 to 43.8 grams. The potential yield of this variety reaches 80–100 centners per hectare (6–9 tons per hectare). Plant height is approximately 92.7–97.8 cm, and maturity group is medium-early. The ear is sturdy, which facilitates harvesting and processing.

Angelus exhibits high resistance to drought and various diseases, including powdery mildew, yellow and brown rust, leaf septoria, yellow spot, and Fusarium head blight, as confirmed by resistance ratings of 6 to 8 points. Optimal sowing dates are from September 10 to 25, with a seeding rate of 3.5–4.5 million seeds per hectare; for late sowing (September 25 to October 5), the rate increases to 5 million seeds per hectare. Recommended for cultivation in various regions, including Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipro, Donetsk, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions.
