Pernille is a medium-sized bi-coloured Clematis, reaching up to 2.5 m in height. The medium-sized flowers (up to 9 cm in diameter) are white with a lilac rim and a purple stripe from the edge to the center. Each bud has 4–8 oval petals with wavy edges that overlap each other, creating an impressive look. Purple anthers on white-yellow filaments add contrast.
The variety is characterized by long and abundant flowering: from June to September. It is undemanding, reliable, and frost-hardy (zones 4–9), making it suitable for growing in various climatic conditions. Pernille easily climbs natural supports – small trees, large deciduous or coniferous shrubs – and looks great on artificial garden structures and in large containers.
Delivery is made in spring in the form of a rhizome with 1–2 bud shoots in a P9 container. From May, the Clematis can be obtained in a C 1.5 container. Pruning group – 3 (severe), which allows maintaining a compact shape and stimulating the growth of new shoots.
