Description
Lupine commandeur variety COMMANDER is a bi-cut diploid species of leguminous grasses, bred by the method of multiple free organic cross-breeding of winter-hardy early-ripening forms originating from geographically distant ecotypes. This variety was created at the Primorsky Research Institute of Agriculture together with the Far East Experimental Station of VNIIR, which ensures its adaptation to the specific climatic conditions of the region.
COMMANDER is characterized by high yield: the average yield of dry matter reaches 45.2 centners per hectare, and seeds — 1.7 centners per hectare. Despite high productivity, the variety is susceptible to powdery mildew, which should be taken into account when planning agricultural activities and plant protection.
This lupine is intended for cultivation in the north-eastern regions of Russia, including the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, Kamchatka Krai, Magadan Oblast, Primorsky Krai, Sakhalin Oblast, Khabarovsk Krai, and the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. Due to its characteristics, the COMMANDER variety is suitable for use as a fodder crop, contributing to the improvement of pasture quality and increasing livestock productivity.
