RELEVANT is a hybrid oat variety developed for cultivation in moderate climatic conditions of Russia and CIS countries. The variety is characterized by high yields of up to 4 t/ha under optimal conditions and resistance to diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for farmers.
The growth period is 90–100 days from sowing, and the seed size is 0.6–0.8 grams. The white grain contains a high percentage of proteins (12‑13%) and starch (18‑20%), ensuring a quality product for the food industry.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to sow seeds between April 15 and 20 when air temperature is between 10 and 18 °C. After sowing, at the 30–35 day stage, the soil should be fertilized with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, and regular watering should be maintained depending on soil moisture.
The variety is resistant to powdery mites, seed rot, and viruses; in the event of seed rot, fungicides such as propophenyl are applied. Insecticides are used to control mites at the 20–25 day stage after sowing. Under unfavorable weather conditions, protection from overcooling should be ensured.
RELEVANT prefers fertile soils with a pH of 5.5–7.0 and good water permeability, allowing it to grow well on various soil types. Due to the combination of high yield, disease resistance, and ease of care, the oat variety RELEVANT represents an economically viable choice for oat production in moderate climates.
