Fescue REGENEREIT

German breeding for flawless turf

When it comes to landscaping areas with high recreational use, the choice of seed becomes a critical factor. Regenerate fescue from Deutsche Saatveredelung is a selection product created for those seeking a balance between the aesthetics of a blue-green hue and biological endurance. The original breeder is Landmark Turf & Native Seed, whose work in turf-forming crops has long been a benchmark for quality.

Key features and biology

The main advantage of this variety lies in its ability to form a dense, visually appealing sward that retains its decorative qualities even during moderate moisture deficits. Unlike standard species, Regenerate possesses a specific blue-green color that gives the landscape a sophisticated look. With a plant height of 60 to 100 cm, this crop is optimal for creating decorative masses where stable green biomass is required without frequent intensive mowing.

Strengths and weaknesses

• Endurance: Excellent adaptability to climatic conditions typical of Central and Northern Europe, making it highly predictable in professional landscaping.
• Aesthetics: The unique color pigment of the leaf sets it apart from classic lawn grasses.
• Application: Ideal for park zones, roadsides, and landscape designs where both aesthetics and foot traffic resistance are essential.

The weaknesses include the need for precise agronomic practices during the germination phase—like most high-quality fescue varieties, Regenerate requires thorough soil preparation. It is not an express solution for "instant" lawns, but in the long run, it outperforms them due to its durability and resistance to thinning.

This variety is an optimal choice for landscape professionals working on public landscaping projects where long-lasting decorative appeal and minimal post-establishment maintenance are priorities.
