BULLSAY – an ornamental perennial grass belonging to the Festuca genus. The plant features thin, rich blue-green leaves reaching a width of approximately 9–10 cm in a container, with a height growing up to 15–25 cm, making it low-growing and suitable for use in stone borders, edgings, and garden rocks. The canopy has a cup-like shape, creating a neat dome of upright leaves.
The plant is characterized by high resistance to unfavorable conditions: hardy to –4 °C, requires no covering during cold periods, and thrives in both dry and humid climates. While excessive moisture can lead to fungal infections, such issues are minimized with proper drainage and moderate watering.
BULLSAY prefers bright sun but can also grow in partial shade; the soil should not be highly acidic – the plant grows well in acidic, neutral, or alkaline soils. No training is required, and after flowering, leaves can be trimmed slightly above ground level to maintain a tidy appearance. Due to its ornamental value and low maintenance requirements, it is an excellent choice for landscape projects where a durable and aesthetic element is needed.
