BAVUKO is a high-yield variety of oats belonging to the group of disease and cold-resistant crops. It is distinguished by a high yield potential of up to 4 tons/ha under optimal conditions and the ability to withstand low temperatures down to -10 °C due to early planting during the period of 15-20 days after the end of winter at a temperature of 10-12 °C.
The variety is characterized by a high protein content (up to 18%) and carbohydrates (about 70%), making it valuable for the production of cereals and flour. The reddish tint of the grain and seed size – 2-3 mm in length and 1-1.5 mm in width – ensure good density (0.8-1.0 g/cm³) and suitability for further processing.
BAVUKO is resistant to powdery and rotting soil damage, which reduces the need for agrochemical control. It grows well on fertile soils with good water permeability at moderate acidity (pH 6-7), where yields of 200 to 300 kg/ha are achieved. Thanks to these properties, the variety is suitable for both flour and cereal production and as a forage plant in a combined economy.
