Fescue BAVUKO

Bavuko Meadow Fescue: A Reliable Choice for Sustainable Forage

Selecting the right variety for permanent grasslands requires a balance between biomass yield and endurance. Bavuko, a meadow fescue variety developed by the experts at SKFNATS, offers a combined use strategy that fits perfectly into the operational flow of modern livestock farms.

Practical Applications for Your Farm

This variety is designed for farmers who need flexibility in their field management. Whether your priority is hay production or grazing, Bavuko provides consistent results throughout the season:

• Hay Production: The variety exhibits strong regrowth after the first cut, allowing for efficient second-cut yields when moisture levels are sufficient.
• Pasture Management: Its high leafiness makes it resistant to grazing stress, ensuring quick recovery and maintaining field quality even with intensive cattle rotation.
• Long-term Stability: Bred for resilience, Bavuko maintains a productive stand for multiple years, significantly reducing the costs associated with frequent reseeding.

Why Choose SKFNATS Genetics?

The breeding team behind Bavuko focused on early spring vigor, allowing livestock producers to access fresh pasture earlier than with standard varieties. The plant develops a robust root system, which not only ensures drought tolerance but also stabilizes the turf, preventing soil erosion on uneven or lighter terrain.

Bavuko represents a cost-effective solution for agricultural producers who prioritize yield quality and field longevity. By choosing this variety, you are investing in a proven crop that withstands environmental fluctuations while providing a high-quality nutritional base for your herd. It is an essential asset for operations looking to optimize their feed production cycle with minimal maintenance input.
