Fescue GRANDE 2

Why "GRANDE 2" is the Professional Choice for Landscaping

When it comes to creating a dense, wear-resistant lawn, finding the optimal grass blend is a strategic decision. Danish breeding by DLF has long established itself as a benchmark of quality, and the fescue "GRANDE 2" is a prime example. Whether you are a property owner or a landscape professional, you will immediately notice how this cultivar performs under real-world conditions.

Performance and Aesthetics

The first thing that stands out is the deep, dark green hue of the leaf. Unlike many varieties that tend to bleach or yellow under intense sun, "GRANDE 2" retains its rich color throughout the entire season. This is particularly crucial for decorative landscaping where visual impact is paramount. The plant height ranges from 20 to 40 cm, offering flexibility in mowing frequency — whether you need a pristine, formal look or a more relaxed, natural aesthetic.

Practical Advantages

• High Turf Density: This variety forms a thick carpet that successfully crowds out weeds by competing for nutrients and space.
• Adaptability: The grass shows remarkable resilience to weather fluctuations, making it a reliable choice for various climates.
• Low Maintenance: It does not require exotic fertilizers and responds perfectly to standard maintenance practices.

If you are looking for material to landscape a site with high aesthetic standards, this cultivar from the originator Dlf Seeds A/S saves time on constant lawn "repairs." The dense root network reduces moisture evaporation, which effectively lowers water consumption during dry spells. This is an investment for those who prefer high-quality seeds that yield long-term results without the need for frequent overseeding.
