Fescue ESSENTIAL

Why 'Essential' is the Standard for Fine Lawns

The 'Essential' red fescue from the Danish breeding house DLF is the choice of professional landscape architects working on premium-level projects. Unlike budget grass mixes, this variety demonstrates exceptional sod density, making it virtually immune to weeds and moss.

Key Advantages

• Aesthetics: The fine, slender leaf blade creates a 'velvet carpet' effect that maintains a rich emerald color even in limited sunlight.
• Endurance: Despite its decorative profile, 'Essential' features surprising adaptability. Reaching a height of 40–60 cm, the plant is resistant to drought and sharp temperature fluctuations, which is crucial for variable climates.
• Slow Growth: This variety belongs to the low-growth group, significantly reducing the frequency of mowing. This directly impacts resource savings when maintaining private estates or golf courses.

Who is this variety for?

'Essential' is the optimal solution for those seeking a balance between visual perfection and minimal maintenance. It is ideal for creating decorative lawns around private residences, developing park areas with high aesthetic demands, and landscaping spaces where heavy foot traffic is not expected but a flawless appearance is mandatory.

When establishing a lawn using 'Essential', it is important to note that the variety requires high-quality soil preparation; it reaches its full potential in fertile, well-drained soils. This is not a universal forage grass, but a specialized product crafted by DLF breeders for those who refuse to compromise on landscape design quality.
