Agile is a winter wheat (Festuca arundinacea) variety developed in 2020, characterized by high yield and disease resistance. Plants reach a height of about 90–100 cm, with a maturity period of 70–75 days after sowing, allowing them to be used as both an intermediate and a final grain product.
The variety is distinguished by its light-yellow seed color, dense structure, and medium density. High protein content makes it a valuable ingredient for flour, grits, bread, and feed production. When processed, the grain shows good permeability, which facilitates subsequent technological processes.
Agile exhibits resistance to scab (Fusarium head blight), leaf blight, and other fungal diseases, as well as moderate protection against septoria and powdery mildew. The variety responds well to nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers, as well as mulching, which increases its productivity. In 2020, the yield reached 392 kg/ha, which is approximately 6–8% above the regional average.
