Meadow fescue «Vagant» – a perennial turf grass from the grass family, known for its drought and frost resistance. Seeds are characterized by high purity (96 %) and viability (97 %), ensuring reliable growth of a dense carpet 60–80 cm high and 20–30 cm wide. When sown correctly, at a rate of 2–3 kg/centiare, the plant quickly gains strength in the spring period, then steadily grows for 15–20 years without the need for frequent replanting.
For creating lawns on sports fields, children's play areas, and park territories, «Vagant» offers a dense, dark-green carpet with moderate leaf thickness. The plant is resistant to rust, helminthosporium, and powdery mildew, and is not subject to strong fungal attacks, making it an ideal choice for active leisure zones and urban greening.
Cultivating meadow fescue «Vagant» requires soil preparation: weed removal, loosening, adding sand when soil is heavy, and adding lime when acidity is high. After sowing, regular watering and mowing to a height of 4–5 cm is required to maintain a dense cover. Thanks to its resistance to low humidity and frost, the plant does not require additional winter cover and easily adapts to various climatic conditions.
