Meadow bromus 'BARCEZAR' – a high-value variety of barley (Hordeum vulgare), intended for winter sowing. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 8–12 t/ha under optimal growing conditions, and resistance to powdery mildew, blight, and other plant diseases. It adapts well to various climatic conditions, making it in demand across a wide range of regions.
For successful sowing, 'BARCEZAR' is recommended to be planted 1–2 weeks after the end of the frost period, at an air temperature of +10 °C to +15 °C. The recommended sowing density is 20–25 kg/ha (≈2000–2500 t/ha). The variety prefers fertile soils with good drainage capacity, moderate moisture, and a pH in the range of 6.0 to 7.5.
The quality of the grain of the variety is characterized by a high content of protein and starches, which ensures excellent nutritional value and suitability for industrial flour production. Thanks to these properties, 'BARCEZAR' is widely used in agriculture as a basis for flour, feed, and food products production, and can also serve as a base for perennial crops. With proper care and adherence to agronomic recommendations, this variety ensures a stable yield and high product quality.
