SANSSARA – fescue, a decorative grass species from the grass family, belonging to the Festuca genus. This perennial plant typically grows in open areas, meadows, and forests, reaching heights of 30 to 60 cm. Leaves have a light blue or grey-green tint, are finely bristly and dense, giving the bush a thick appearance.
Fescue is characterized by a wide, branched growth form with several branches forming a semi-circular bush. Flowering usually occurs at the end of summer: small bluish flowers do not attract insects but add decorative appeal to the plant.
Growing fescue requires a sunny side and well-drained soil. The plant prefers dry soil and does not require frequent watering; with moderate moisture and protection from overwatering, it shows resilience. Seedlings are placed 50–60 cm apart, and planting can be done in autumn or early spring.
SANSSARA is widely used in landscape design: as decorative grass for lawns, borders, alpine gardens, rock gardens, front gardens, containers, and garden beds. Due to its drought resistance and low maintenance requirements, fescue becomes a popular choice for gardens, park areas, and decorative compositions.
