Bluegrass Nandu

Professional Grade Kentucky Bluegrass

The «Nandu (POB 595)» variety is a signature product from the Polish company Malopolska Hodowla Roslin-HBP, known for its rigorous breeding standards. This Kentucky Bluegrass variety is engineered for versatility, making it a cornerstone for professional landscaping, sports turf management, and high-quality forage production.

Performance and Application

What sets the Nandu variety apart is its adaptability across different environments. It is effectively deployed in three primary usage types:

• Sports Turf: Provides a dense, resilient sod that withstands heavy traffic and recovers quickly from mechanical wear.
• Residential and Commercial Lawns: Its distinct light-green foliage offers an aesthetic appeal that is highly sought after for premium landscaping projects.
• Forage Production: Its nutritional value and resilience to grazing cycles make it a reliable choice for sustainable agricultural pastures.

With a seeding rate of 20–25 g/m² and a germination period of 7–20 days, Nandu is designed for rapid establishment. The development of a robust root system is the defining characteristic of this variety, ensuring long-term survival even under intensive usage conditions. The light-green color remains consistent throughout the growth season, provided that moisture levels are maintained.
