Fescue ESPARINA

Danish excellence in forage production

Esparina, a tall fescue variety developed by the Danish breeding leader DLF, stands out as a top-tier choice for professionals in the livestock industry. In an era where resilience and forage quality are paramount, Esparina offers a balanced combination of high biomass production and superior durability under environmental stress.

Agronomic profile and specifications

This tall fescue variety is designed for intensive use, providing a robust, deep-rooting turf that thrives in various soil conditions. Key characteristics include:

• Crop type: Tall Fescue (Festuca arundinacea).
• Plant height: 80–120 cm.
• Appearance: Vibrant dark green foliage.
• Seeding rate: 25–35 g/m².

Why Esparina leads the market

The primary advantage of Esparina lies in its exceptional wear tolerance. This makes it an ideal solution for grazing systems where high stocking density can quickly degrade pasture quality. Unlike standard varieties, DLF's Esparina maintains a dense, high-quality sward that recovers rapidly after mechanical impact or animal grazing.

For agricultural operators, Esparina represents reliability. The genetics provided by Dlf Seeds A/S ensure consistent emergence and steady development, which are critical for maintaining a stable food supply for livestock. With its significant height potential and deep root system, this variety ensures that forage production remains efficient even during periods of low moisture, making it a cornerstone for sustainable grazing land management.
