German precision in landscape design

The 'Homestar' fescue, developed by the renowned German breeder Feldsaaten Freudenberger GmbH&Co.KG, is a professional-grade choice for landscape architecture. Since its introduction, this variety has established itself as a reliable standard for parks, private gardens, and urban spaces, where aesthetic consistency and plant resilience are mandatory requirements.

Key features and performance

• Visual profile: The plant features a distinctive blue-green leaf color, providing depth and a sophisticated appearance to any landscape arrangement.
• Growth habit: Reaching a height of 40–60 cm, 'Homestar' fits perfectly into the mid-tier layer of decorative plantings.
• Application: Specifically bred for decorative landscaping, this variety excels in diverse climatic conditions while maintaining its ornamental appeal throughout the growing season.

Feldsaaten Freudenberger’s reputation is built on stringent genetic purity and quality control. By selecting 'Homestar', landscape contractors and agronomists ensure uniform germination and dense, consistent coverage. Given its 40–60 cm stature, the variety integrates seamlessly with low-growing groundcover plants, facilitating the creation of layered, low-maintenance green spaces.

This variety is highly regarded for its inherent toughness, a hallmark of the German breeding tradition. 'Homestar' does more than simply occupy space; it serves as a high-quality visual foundation that resists fading under intense sunlight, ensuring a stable and lush landscape appearance year after year.
