Fescue Diego

The Foundation for a Premium Lawn

Red fescue variety 'Diego' from the Danish breeder DLF is a top-tier choice for professionals who prioritize turf density and a deep, rich color. Unlike many standard lawn grasses, Diego displays remarkable stability in its aesthetic features throughout the entire season, making it a critical component for high-quality seed mixtures intended for parks, private gardens, and low-impact sports areas.

Core Advantages

• Aesthetics: A vibrant dark green hue that persists even under challenging conditions. The leaf texture provides a uniform carpet effect that remains visually appealing year-round.
• Density: Due to its growth pattern, this variety effectively fills in gaps, naturally outcompeting weeds and creating a robust, weed-resistant turf.
• Adaptability: The Danish breeding program at DLF is renowned for resilience. Diego thrives across various soil types and handles temperature fluctuations with ease.

Who is this for?

This variety is optimal for those who refuse to compromise on lawn appearance for the sake of low maintenance. Diego rewards basic care—such as proper irrigation and fertilization—with a dense, durable surface that holds up well to light traffic. It is an excellent solution for landscape designers and homeowners focusing on long-term sustainability. While the variety is robust, it performs best in well-drained conditions, so effective soil preparation is recommended to ensure the turf achieves its maximum decorative potential.
