Bluegrass Limousine

Why 'Limousine' is the benchmark for professional lawns

When it comes to creating the perfect turf, the Kentucky bluegrass variety 'Limousine' by the German breeding company Deutsche Saatveredelung occupies a unique niche. This is not just decorative grass, but a powerful tool for forming a dense, wear-resistant surface that maintains its aesthetics even under heavy use.

Key advantages

The main feature of 'Limousine' is the unique balance between rooting speed and leaf quality. Unlike many other bluegrass varieties that are slow to establish at the start, this hybrid demonstrates excellent seedling vigor. As a result, you get a thick, lush carpet with a deep dark green color that stands out visually against standard grass mixtures.

Practicality in maintenance

The originator, Deutsche Saatveredelung, focused on genetic endurance. In climates with fluctuating humidity and temperatures, 'Limousine' exhibits high resistance to root rot and powdery mildew. This is a critical factor for sports fields and private lawns, where controlling fungal diseases often consumes significant time and resources.

• Sports and universal use: The variety is ideally suited for football pitches, tennis courts, and high-end residential gardens.
• Turf density: Thanks to active vegetative growth, the variety quickly fills in gaps and thin spots.
• Sowing recommendations: Adhering to the rate of 20-25 g/m² allows for optimal density without excessive competition between seedlings.

Who should choose this variety?

'Limousine' is the choice for those who do not want to compromise between beauty and functionality. If you need a surface capable of withstanding heavy traffic while maintaining a deep emerald color, this German variety will become the foundation of your project. Due to its high disease resistance, costs for chemical protection are minimized, making this bluegrass a profitable long-term investment in landscape quality.
